A recent custom order for half plate double cases in the Boston case style

The previously posted Smithsonian custom cases now house their charges. These two portraits of James Duncan Graham join a third which has a vintage case that these were modelled on.

Here’s some more maroon cases ( I do cases in 4 colours but this is the most poplar) that are custom cases as they are made for Ambrotypes rather than Daguerreotypes. These 4 cases are part of an ongoing project I have with the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian to house daguerreotypes without cases in their collection.
